Established in 1986
Cyfle was originally formed in 1986 as a joint undertaking between the new Welsh language channel S4C, and the Producers' Federation, TAC, with the support of BECTU, the TV and film technicians' union.
Based in Caernarfon its primary objective at that time was to ensure a supply of trained Welsh speaking technicians for the television industry.
Increased Training Provisions
Over the years its aims have broadened to cover most of the training needs of a bilingual, creative, multi-media industry, working from offices in Caernarfon and Cardiff. These include training for the Television, Film, Animation, Interactive Media and multi-platform sectors.
Cyfle International
Cyfle International, our commercial subsidiary, set up in 2006, explores a range of opportunities at an international level, with the intention of returning profits to support and enhance our activities in Wales.
