SALES AND MARKETING WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

This is a 5 month, part-time training, mentoring and development scheme for 8 industry practitioners and their respective companies who are looking to improve their company’s sales and marketing strategy, focusing on new ways, and the use of social media as an effective medium.  

The participant will have the opportunity to consolidate the more successful traditional forms of sales and marketing and combine these with new innovative digital models.

Alongside attending specialist masterclasses and completing a comprehensive e-learning package, each participant will be assigned a Social Media trainer / mentor who will develop a bespoke Social Media Sales and Marketing plan for their company. This plan will include:

  • Producing an Online Presence for Participants’ Individual Work
  • Setting up of Social Media Package for the Individual / Company
  • Setting up of Wordpress site & Blog
  • Setting up of Online Video Platforms
  • Setting up of Project Supporting Apps

The nominated participants from each company will be living and/or working in the convergence areas of West Wales, North West Wales and the Valleys

CRITERIA AND SELECTION PROCESSES

Please note that this project has been made possible through the Creative Skillset Cymru Skills for the Digital Economy Programme, backed with £2.7m from the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Government, with the rest of the funds provided by Welsh broadcaster S4C, and the trade association for independent producers in film and television in Wales, Teledwyr Annibynnol Cymru (TAC).

The overall aim of the Skills for the Digital Economy Programme is to develop and deliver industry-led, flexible, higher level skills provision led by the industry and which meets the needs of the industry Creative Media employers and freelancers living and working in West Wales and the Valleys including North West Wales.

In light of this, beneficiaries of these courses must EITHER LIVE OR WORK in the Convergence areas i.e. Isle of Anglesey; Conwy; Denbighshire; Gwynedd; Ceredigion; Pembrokeshire; Carmarthenshire; Swansea; Neath Port Talbot; Bridgend; Rhondda Cynon Taff; Merthyr Tydfil; Blaenau Gwent; Caerphilly and Torfaen.

Funding Availability

Due to the highly subsidised nature of this scheme, participants will only have to pay £400 towards the training costs.

If you are successful in gaining a place on this training scheme, you may be eligible for a bursary of up to 80% through Creative Skillset Cymru. Check out the guidelines for further information:

When applying for this scheme candidates must submit the following:

  • Up-to-date CV detailing the nominated individuals experience
  • The applicant and supporting company must fill in the following application form stating clearly why the individual is suitable for this scheme and why it would be beneficial to the individual and company
