Job Purpose

Working alongside the Art Department Runner you will work between all areas of the Art Department helping to facilitate the smooth running of all areas. The duties are varied depending on where you are assigned, from administration to delivery and collection, purchasing and clearing up. The job offers the opportunity to learn every aspect of the Art Department.

The post is based at the Upper Boat studios, but work will also be required at other sites or on Location and on other productions. The Job holder is required to work according to production schedules, which will cover both day and night as required by process requirements. The job holder should also be willing to travel to other locations and studios


Reporting Lines and Key Relationships

The Art Department Runner Trainee works to the Art Department Runner, Art Department Co-ordinator, all other members of the department and Production Designer on day to day basis.


Key Accountabilities

1. Work within the current safety and fire regulations and Standing Orders that apply to the place of work. To alert managers of any situation where it is apparent that an individual may be experiencing problems or circumstances which are adversely affecting his/her health or work capability.

2. To be able to carry out the full range of duties of the Art Department Runner Trainee and to do so as required.

3. Provide considered input into the planning process.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Required Knowledge and Experience

2. To be able to carry out the full range of duties of the Art Department Runner Trainee and to do so as required.

3. Provide considered input into the planning process.

4. To work under the Art Department Runner between all areas of the Art Department helping to facilitate the smooth running of each area when and where this is required.

5. A recognised qualification in Art or Set Design.
