Vast Industry Experience
Sue Jeffries graduated from University College Wales, Aberystwyth and has worked her way up through the grades from Principal Production Assistant, to Continuity Supervisor, Production Manager, Line Producer, Director and Producer, having become freelance in 1989.
Freelance TV and film producer
She has been working as a freelance film and television producer for more over fifteen years, mainly in the field of drama and children’s programming. Her credits the children’s drama for ITV and Nickelodeon - Help! I’m a Teenage Outlaw, which was shot in the Czech Republic in 2004.
Sue's past projects
In 2007 Sue produced and directed a series of cross platform programmes called Bytis (Mascot & Me), which interviewed Welsh stars and their mascots. In 2008 she shot an action game show for children – Herio'r Ddraig (Challenge the Dragon), based on the myths of King Arthur, Merlin and Camelot shot entirely on location in Wales. She is also developing a full length feature biopic entitled Starman.
Helping new talent
Since Sue is passionate about helping new people into the industry, as well as giving a hand up to those already there, she is on the drama school accreditation panel of the National Council for Drama Training. She is also one of two Skillset Cymru Careers Advisors based in Wales, and feels strongly that her day to day work as a producer/director directly feeds into this work. She is also employed as an industry consultant by Skillset helping support new and exciting qualifications within the school and college curriculum in Wales and the UK.
